KITS VS. PRODUCTION
Which do you choose? what are the pros and cons?
off hand I would say pros for kits are you get what you want. The paint jobs are way better. You can pick the colors you want. Cons-cost a lot more, especially if you do not paint, you have to pay someone to build it up and paint it. If you try to sell you probably will not get as much as you put into it.
What do you think?

kits by far....i like having different stuff in my collection...kits add variety and seperates your collection from the next guys...after awhile everyone having the same pieces is boring,,,
paintjobs could be so much better depending on who paints it

I like kits better, also. The only problem is that they cost more. And if it comes in damaged there's no sending it back for a replacement.
But, the end result is usually better than a factory piece.

I think if you like DC, kits are the only way to go

Kits all the way for me, i think the best thing with kits is you get more unique designs for well known characters or more obscure charcters and obviously the colours you want

I just bought my first one and am looking forward to painting it any way I want. Some character's likenesses, like Doc Savage, are ONLY available as kits so if you are a fan of that particular charater you don't have many other options. I love my Bowen stuff, but to add well-done DC charaters to the mix the kits fill a lot of the gaps better than a so-so DC-produced sculpt.

Both for me - I was into garage kits long before pre-paints, and the first pre-paints were horrible (not the sculpts but the paint jobs). The only reason I started buying pre-paints is that Bowen's Death Dealer wasn't available as a kit...

depends on the sculptor, some of the best stuff i see are kits by a long shot and obviously there is no competing a custom paint job.
