I disagree with the notion that Doomsday is a Hulk knockoff. The only thing the two have in common is that they are both giant brutes. We can't start calling every giant brute a Hulk-ripoff.
IMO, I think Doomsday can make Hulk bleed. Doomsday doesn't stay down. I don't think Hulk could kill Doomsday, but I think Hulk could toss him into space.

Doomsday is a complete rip-off combo of Hulk and Wolverine. Hulk wins out of sheer story quality.

The madder Hulk gets, the stronger he gets. But Doomsday also adapts to his opponents' strengths. Plus, he comes back from the dead. He's a ridiculous character but Doomsday takes this one.

Eh, you're probably right, ignoring the bounds of logical (and interesting) character creation. Doomsday is perilously close to having the power of "always winning, eventually". Which is lame.
What I can't fathom is how Doomsday got the following that he has. When he was first introduced, I didn't know anyone that thought he was cool. They tried to shoehorn a backstory to make it explain things, but for my money it just made him more ludicrous.
