Man, where to start.

I knew Lucas would cash in at some point. Let Disney foot the bill and rape the rewards. That's right, rape. Now, there will be easily 3 more Star Wars titles. This is going to be a fiasco. Couldn't leave it alone. Star Wars is a cash cow. Walk down any toy row in any store. There's always a huge Star Wars section. The toys keep getting crappier and crappier.

I'm not saying I won't go see these films, curious which route they take with the story. Would love to see a Zach Snyder Star Wars, something gritty and with some meat to it. I would think Spielberg or maybe even Verbinski (made tons for Disney) might helm this next one. I think Cameron is gonna be too busy with all his Avatar crap he's planning.

Dammit, George. Couldn't leave it alone, could you.

David Fincher is my favourite director and I hope he stays far far far away from this.

They surely can't make it worse than the Phantom Menace.

I'd let the guys at Pixar handle this.

"The seventh movie, with a working title of "Episode 7," is set for release in 2015. Episodes 8 and 9 will follow. The new trilogy will carry the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond "Return of the Jedi," the third film released and the sixth in the saga. After that, Disney plans a new "Star Wars" movie every two or three years. Lucas will serve as creative consultant in the new movies." from Yahoo.

I love the Idea of a new Star wars, but after a third Trilogy, do we really need more?? Don't Ruin it by just making movies to make movies.

Agreed 1,000%.

I don't see Fincher touching this, though (is that "in talks" elsewhere? Not surfin' the web at all today).

I agree with you but they will make movies just to make money.

They spent 4 billion dollars for it so it's only natural they will milk the cash cow till it's dry. Of course if the movie flops at the box office they might take a different route.
