Star Wars: Rebels

So the new animated series has been officially announced, and it's coming to Disney XD fall of 2014.

The show takes place between Ep. III and Ep. IV, and is being done by the same crew as Clone Wars, so that bodes well.

Here's a bit of info on it:

While that is certainly great news, has there been an update on how the Clone Wars will be concluded?

Not that I'm aware of, they seem to be keeping pretty tight lipped about that one. I notice that they haven't announced the release of season 5 to disc yet. I'm wondering if they're not going to include those episodes on there as "bonus content".

I believe they have enough material for like half a season, they might make a few direct to dvd movies out of them... and probably show them on the Disney Channel or ABC Family channel..

Either way we will get the conclusion to The Clone Wars which is good, just not 100% sure how there going to delivery it to us..

Here's some Season 6 clips

Glad to see they'll be continuing with a new animated series. Sounds promising.

That said I'm still pretty disappointed at the lack of closure we received with the premature cancellation of The Clone Wars. Nobody expected it to go on forever but to just pull the plug like they did was a pretty big disservice to those of us that supported it through it's 5 season run.

Thanks for posting those. Good stuff all around. Lots of foreshadowing. I sure hope we get to see everything they were working on at some point.

alright cool. looking forward to this series. if the same people are doing it and it is taking place between eps3 and eps4 then we should be seeing Vader and the Emperor conquering the galaxy. and possibly Vader hunting down the last of the remaining Jedi with the rebels resisting.
oh man i so hope this is the story line

well, from what i understand (and this is my assumption) is that the clone wars were between the two original animated clone wars movies that came out between eps2 and eps3 that were done by the people who did samurai jack. becasue the second animated movie played right up to the opening scene in eps3. so where the clone wars plays up to to the second animated movie i do not know. im sure we will find out sooner or later. and thats if im right. i very well could be wrong.
i did have a thought that seems how its the same people doing the new series then they may do a flash back episode and show what happened that way.
either way i m am so looking forward t thus new series. bring it DXD
