Best way to sort CAF Galleries
Hi all,
just wanted to ask in which way you sort your CAF Galleries.
I display mine by artists right now, but since a couple of weeks this was added to the site as a main-feature I´m thinking about to re-sort my whole Gallerie by themes like Marvel Girls, -Villians and so on. What do you think?

Mine is by artists. But I do not have enough art to do "themes".
I think it depends on how much art you have and why you buy the art. If you collect very character specific, it might make more sense to do the "theme" setup.. if it's for artists , then keep it the way you have it.

I think by artist is the best way to do it.

I have mine by artist and theme. Anything for my Emma Frost theme goes in that gallery, and anything for my Pirate theme goes in it's gallery. The rest are sorted by artist.
I gave some serious thought to re-arranging everything when they added that feature, but decided against it, mostly because I don't like how it's a scroll list, it makes it harder to read through. If it was laid out like my own created galleries were, I might have done something, but I'm just going to leave it.

Here is my gallerie, anyone think it makes sense to change something or should I leave it so?

I will say: I hate artist galleries, especially when there are 1 or 2 pieces. Less than 6 pieces in a gallery, having to click gallery after gallery, it's terrible.
The absolute worst are they guys that create a gallery for the piece: Captain America 456 cover with 1 piece in it (wanna guess what it is?). They will then have 38 galleries with one piece. Ugh.
I originally sorted mine by publisher, to put large numbers in each gallery. Simplified browsing.
Now when I go to someones CAF I don't even bother with the owner created folders, groupings and designations, I immediately scroll to the newly added groupings section: cover, splash, commission, sketch...
It gets it out of the way, and I can see all the art as simply as possible.

This is pretty much how I do mine. I used to have everything sorted by artist, but since CAF does that for you now, I condensed everything into fairly basic categories. If I happen to have a lot of something specific (in my case, Infinity Gauntlet, War & Crusade pages), I will make more specific galleries for that stuff.
