Just picked this up and it is amazing! Love the character, my favorite from Greek mythology since I was a kid. Base and statue are huge and heavy. I know it shouldn't matter but just love a heavy statue! Paint and sculpt details are great and really makes this beast come alive!

I think the Minotaur was ARH's best failed statue. It's still lining the shelves of ebayers and statue flip sites across the web. Why? I have no idea. Like yourself, the Minotaur was my first love in the realm of monsters... From the old Greek mythology books to the understated role of the gold Minotaur on the old Sinbad movie!!! So getting this piece was a no brainer.

I love the way one eye is sewn shut from damage. But... The most basic way to display it is with that eye facing the front and the other eye hidden. I wish they would have switched the eye position. My only other pet peeve was that I wish he was standing up a bit taller... Maybe enough to just make the statue another 3-4 inches taller. Considering the hugeness of th base, it would have changes the statue from slightly understated to truely imposing.

And while I'm giving my Christmas list.... A naked Greek slavegirl screaming at it on the base would have been awesome ESPECIALLY if the Minotaur had removable clothes!!!

I wouldn't call it a 'failed statue' at all.
There are a couple available for a decent price but the web is hardly flooded with them being flogged off at a discount...

I don't know... You can always log onto eBay and pick one up. Try and grab an Arkhalla 1 or an Arhian 1 on there... Few and far in between. That tells me these never found a collector to take them home and love them.
