Vegas question??

When is the off season? I mean when is it cold over there (pools closed and such)? I'm sure someone knows, help a brother out. Also if anyone could recommend a nice hotel on or very close to the strip.

There really is no off season... The non-tourist season is May through Sept as it is super hot... Today in Vegas it is 58 Degrees...

So the pools would be closed then? I know Vegas is always rock'N but I wanted to enjoy the pools and boardwalk without freezing the nads bro.

I'm not sure of the pool-closure schedule, but one place I'd try is the Hard Rock Hotel. Great place, especially hanging out at the pool. Good place to star-gaze, too. Last time I was there, I saw Heather Locklear there. Pretty cool.

My other favorite place doesn't have a pool, I don't think. Could be wrong, though. It's the Barbary Coast, and it's a good, clean, older hotel right across the street (on the same side of the Strip) from Ballys. Great central location for walking around to the different casino hotels, and best of all, very reasonably priced.

Have fun, man.

Usually late october pools close at casinos without indoor pools. IMO best time to go to vegas is like 1st week of october usually 78 in day and 70 at night.

If you mean by off season being the cheapest, then the middle of the summer is the cheapest. I was there last July and the temperature was 117 degrees (the hottest temperature on record). I should have gone to SDCC instead.

Vegas suggestions

I happen to like going in the summer. June/July it can be hot (100+) but most of the time you are in the casino, bar, or by the pool. Babes in bikinis! (really mrs hobbit, i'm not looking at them ). Also, you can easily get a decent place on the strip for $40 - $70/night.
