The Eyes of My Mother - 4.5/10

Wow! This was a tough watch. The best thing I can say about this film is it had some striking visuals. Shot entirely in B&W there is some beautifully framed cinematography here. That said this is a repugnant, deeply disturbing and senseless picture. If you’re looking for an unnerving horror film, this is it. I found it to be meandering and pretentious myself. I need a bath.

halloween horror marathon movie #9

Hellraiser6: Hellseeker - A bit better than the last couple movies, at least they just let this one be a Hellraiser movie without trying to force some other genre in there 6.5/10

You’re a better movie fan than me. I couldn’t finish that POS.

Even at 76 min, it was a struggle. My rating is probably too high, but I did enjoy the way the film looked.

halloween horror marathon movie #10-11

Hellraiser7: Hellworld - This one was pretty fun, had a cool setting, had a really good twist at the end that I didnt see coming, kind of similar to Friday 13th Part7 New Blood. It also featured a very young pre-Superman Henry Cavill and also Laurence Henriksen 7/10

Hellraiser8: Deader - this one was quite lame, and Pinhead was criminally underused, probably my least favorite 5/10

that completes my hellraiser marathon, as I wont be watching part 9 or 10 as they are rushed hackjobs that dont even feature Doug Bradley as Pinhead, just made to retain the film rights

Downton Abbey (2019) - The continuing story of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside in the early 20th century.

I will give this movie a much higher score than necessary because I loved the TV series. Aside from a few contrived scenes (Anna and Lady Isobel should form a Scooby gang because they can apparently solve mysteries without any clues whatsoever), it was everything I wanted a Downton Abbey movie to be. 9/10
