tattoo on your sculpture ??

Hello !
I saw some amazing paint jobs on sculptures (like about 12") with fantastic detailed tattoos on their arms.. bodies..etc..
Has anyone here any advice how I can do something like that ???

I was thinking to draw something on waxpaper for example, cut it out .. lay it on the part of my sculpture and paint it with airbrush.. but Im not sure if this is a messy method.. so if there are any experiance about that.. please let me know !

Thank you guys !!!

I wish I could offer some helpful advice, but
I'm not sure there are any magic tricks.

I simply use very thin paint, watered down inks, and
a very new 10/0 20/0 liner brush and a lot of
patience and draw them on.

Thanks much! But yes...it is a lot of work. I find
that I need to get up often and walk things off for a few
and take a lot of breaks while doing this.

I really wish I had something more to offer, if there
is a shortcut...I would love to try it too.

Danno, that is just incredible work. I think it is just amazing how you can do things like this. I wish I had the time and patience to learn how to do this. I am still on the brush. Dry brushing etc. Just amazing, you are lucky to have such a gift!

If you could find a temporary tattoo of the design you want, you could probably put on the statue, let it dry, and apply a clear protective coat over it might work also.
