IIRC, the episode opened in the Big Brother house, and then cut to a scene captioned "Six Months Earlier".

That's right, I knew I had six months in my head for a reason.

I had to share this observation made on a game today, in reference to the rules on Life and Death in the Doctor Who universe, after discussing the first-season episode with Pete Tyler:
Quote:
"You're born when you're born, and you die when you die, and if anyone tries to muck with that, the universe implodes with Scooby Doo Ice Cream Phantoms."

Torchwood starts again this Wednesday in the UK with some bloke that was in Buffy and Smallville playing rival time agent, Captain John.
Don't these time agents know how to dress discreetly?

Starts on BBC-A on the 26th.
Looking forward as it seems they were aware of the shortfallings of last season, or one hopes.

From what I've read, it does sound like the characters are more likeable and the stories are more fun. Hopefully, that'll be the case ....
Surprising that it took a team of writers a whole season to work out that would be a good idea.

I'm still not 100% convinced, but the first episode of the new series of Torchwood did lighten up the characters and include a bit more humour, whcih was an improvement.
James Marsters was pretty much "Spike in Cardiff"...

I know there's an edited pre-watershed version broadcast, but I can't seem to see a repeat listed on the Beeb's website.
However, I think you can watch it on the BBC's flashy new iPlayer gizmo.
