I got into a bit of an argument with members over on blu-ray.com for using the word Whitewash. It appears to have a different meaning in the U.S. than over here. Here is means gloss over.

Dragonball Evolution had a mixed cast. Didn't make it any better a movie. Same with M. Night's pathetic take on Last Airbender.

Bigger things impacting a movie than where the actors hail from. But to get a more global appeal, I'm sure Naruto will have a mixed cast as well.

and people -----ed to no end about Aang being a white kid despite him always looking pretty damn white in the show yet not a peep when they turned the entire fire nation Indian.

I just hate the whining. the horrible looking Attack on Titan movie is an all Asian cast despite them making it very clear the only Asian person left alive is Mikasa, does anybody accuse them of "yellow washing" their film?

I mean seriously, does this look like his creator was trying to make him a Japanese kid?
