I still don't like the adoption angle. It seems so pointless other than "We need diversity!" If that's the case, why not make both Storm twins black, or Asian, or cocker spaniels. Just make them siblings of blood! Anything else is forcing it.

Was reading an article about the whole Fantastic Four movie and the writer called people who didn't like the casting "racist fanboys". Not too insulting.
