But as a returning attendee, you get better chances to get in.
The last time you could just walk up to the ticket booth and buy badges was early 2000's.

Unfortunately, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, but if Grphx got guest passes through Chad, then he doesn't get into that "group" of previous attendees as if he got badges himself like "regular" attendees. If that's not the case let me know, because I get people guest badges sometimes and AFAIK it hasn't helped them get into the preferred/returning attendees group for the next year....

It's something I'm interested in also. I am sure I can figure out by asking questions;-)

I knew someone who used to go there almost every year and spends loads of money, and even him had a real hard time to guarantee his tickets without going through some loopholes!

Yeah not planning on spending money since I am travelling with carry on and not checking bags.

Not sure if there are different types of guest passes, but the one I'm referring to requires you to go to the badging area, present your guest pass and they convert that into a badge with your name on it and a badge number. If it's only for that day, then that badge will only name that day. If it's for the four days, then the badge will name the four days. It's that badge that you use to register as a returning attendee.

No, I was talking about pro guest passes, which are person specific to begin with.
Anyway, I'm sure Grphyx will figure it out

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Hey congrats and enjoy your time there! I've never been to as I'm from the other side of the world, but I've always wanted to.
