Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Nice design but that portrait is awful.

I agree.

Sideshow’s in comparison is pretty much perfect. Except for the paint apps on the lekku of course, the likeness couldn’t be better.

I used to buy so much of their pieces, 1/10 and 1/4 scale, but their quality has imo decreased and/or they can’t compete with the improvements that their competitors have made over time.

Yep.

I have the sideshow PF and it looks like Rosario Dawson. I think I lucked out as mine has almost no paint gap (I think you?re referring to gap between the lekku and face).

No, not that.

How the paint is not kept within the sculpted in panel lines between the two colours of the lekku’s. I don’t think I’ve seen a single one that was painted cleanly, and the overspray is slightly different on everyone’s.

On the prototype it was a nice transition between colours, but on the production piece, they decided to sculpt in panel lines, and then they couldn’t keep the colours in their respective areas.

Getting faces right in 1:10 is tough.

I agree with a lot of this. Like DevGuy, I think I lucked out on getting a great copy of my SSC PF.

IS used to be great at 1/10 portraits and for a while I thought they perfected the art. But the past few years have been very hit or miss with them.

Totally agree. I have several old MCU pieces but after seeing a lot of their new stuff, I am pretty much done with Iron Studios.
