I have this problem with XM Studios statues--the magnets are almost too strong.

Had the clothed torso stuck inside the body--couldn't get it out. Stupidly yanked it too hard without taking off the hands--broke a few fingers and had to gorilla glue them back.

Currently have an XM Studios Dark Knight statue where I can't get off the clenched hand. Magnet is too strong, plus whatever polystone expansion must've happened. I'm just gonna leave it be and have it be a problem I try and resolve sometime in the future.

Good luck to you. Looking forward to seeing how you get it out of the base.

Wow! I had that piece a long time ago, I would have never given it a thought his head could get stuck. One of my Sideshow Deathwing wings froze in its hole. I got it out safely but that was a fun one.

I had to lift their Grimlock, both body and base and nothing else attached. Jiggling this 80-pound monstrosity because his feet wouldn't release from the base. Definitely a seating settlement issue.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Assuming the buyer has the right type of transport, can't they take the piece as is, fully assembled.

A drop of a lubricant or penetrant would likely do the trick easily, if all else fails. You should always spot test it in an inconspicuous area first, but a silicone-based product should be safe for cured paint/clearcoats. DO NOT use a petroleum-based product.

3-in-one Silicone Oil, or WD-40 Silicone would be two popular options.

Keep in mind that if any future painting/modification were to be done/planned, the statue would need to be cleaned extremely well (I would clean it off immediately with mild soap (dawn) and water - DO NOT immerse), as silicone will prevent adhesion of paint.

About a year ago I tried to remove my Batman Batcave torso from the legs, it wouldnt separate LOL. I tried only for an about minute, but I never got it apart. I think if I had another person there holding the upper legs and I pulled the lower torso it would separate. but every time I tried I pulled his legs out of the base.

People who have had this happen: what is the climate like in your home? I’m hoping to never have this happen lol.

Yes brother!! The gospel you preach!!

Nothing will prevent it. It is just a consequence of time and pressure.

I live in the northeast so hot and humid in the summer cold to mild in winter. We have central air so the house is either set to 69/70 cool during summer or 70-73 oil furnace heat in the winter.

I know it sounds silly but everyone should check their keyholes on Prime 1 pieces during assembly. I?ve had numerous holes jammed with painters tape and sandpaper pieces painted over on a bunch of my pieces from the factory. That stuff will definitely get your parts stuck if not removed.

I'm scared to death the next time that I move that I won't be able to get the 1/3 Prime JH legs out of the base safely. It was such a pain just to get them in there.

My XM Swamp Thing was a pain to get the legs out as well, but that wasn't a magnet issue. It just took a lot of tiny back and forth tilting motions at the closest connection point for it slowly to back out. Silicone oil sounds like a interesting idea if low level heat doesn't work.
