Got my Raph. No one mentioned that the color of the sewage on Raphs base is inconsistent to the rest of the turtles sewage bases. This has been bothering me for a few days already. And Im considering sending out the base to have someone finish the job that sideshow failed to achieve. But I shouldnt have to do that.
Sideshow didnt go through the trouble to coat it with the black overspray, where you get that slimey sludge effect. Its more bright yellowish than green from the rest of the turtles sewage bases. It certainly doesnt look like this-

So thats a fail in my book, alongside the plastic sai's. Which they could have put in metal sai's, the same way they put the plastic sais in. Stop making excuses for sideshow. lol! I can see those sais snapping off with one wrong snag, moving him around. I actually snagged mine with my glove. Luckily it didnt snap. Theyre toothpicks. And Casey Jones mask is plastic. Not so bothered by it as much. But still, I would have had liked to have quality material used for it. Especially for an exclusive piece.
Im in agreement with the majority though. The set is cool once complete. Are they better than the comiquettes? No. But theyre still nice alternatives, and a different take on the turtles. And I wouldnt want to have a collection full of turtles that looked the same anyways. Its like when playmates were releasing all the different variations of the turtle action figures. Those were cool.
