Angry Kotobukiya's prices getting ridiculous? Then VENT!!

After seeing the Punisher fine art piece post at a price of $320 i thought i would create this thread for anyone who wants to vent about how everything at Kotobukiya is getting more expensive. Maybe just maybe the powers that be at Koto will come across this thread (which i hope has many others expressing their frustration and disappointment) and maybe do something about future pricing on products.

So let me begin with my venting. Almost all of my Marvel collection is from Kotobukiya and what made me love them was the quality and price point of there products, but now kotobukiya is getting out of hand. $320 for Punisher, almost $300 for the Vision, and heavens their 1/10 scale artfx line hovering around $65. Artfx is suppose to be there entry level affordable line. Who in the heck can shell out $65 on the regular, its Banana's. I want to keep on supporting the company and being a loyal and happy customer but these prices are mad and still growing. If they keep it up my middle class self is out.

All statue companies are raising prices so it's just how it is now.

I wouldn't say all. You should check out what Diamond Select has been doing with their equivalent fine art line. You can get some nice pieces that are coming out for $135 a pop and they are 1/6 scale. It sounds like you are conceding to the prices.

$75/ship for a statue the size of a action figure (artfx+) and and fine art the price now the cost of an old Sideshow 1/4 PF ($299-$349) is not an affordable to me anymore.

I still like Koto but the price increases from all companies has made me tap out.

I don't think their sculpts are on the same level as Koto.

I've never seen a better statue of the Vision so I couldn't help but buy it. And the classic Captain America as well. Punisher looks cool, especially the one the head with more hair but I'm not a huge Punisher fan. I agree with you about the prices but I think it's due to slowing sales. They said sales on Green Lantern were low. I'm still hopeful for a Jim Lee Aquaman.

I have no idea on their quality but I do have moon knight pre-ordered so when it comes in I will compare and comment.

I say we just start a thread in the general statue section so everyone can vent about statue prices?
