My initial point was that race shouldn't matter one way or the other. The fact is that the studios plays into this in order to generate buzz. They purposely marketed WW in that manner, they release Black Panther during black history month etc. Until the world no longer acknowledges these type of things they will always exist. I said "primarily". I bet you aren't representative of your particular demographic, whatever that may be.
It's easy to say race, gender or sexual preference shouldn't matter when you're part of the majority. To people in groups who have felt underrepresented/misrepresented or disenfranchised their entire lives, those traits definitely matter and should be acknowledged.
