I said "primarily". I bet you aren't representative of your particular demographic, whatever that may be.

It's easy to say race, gender or sexual preference shouldn't matter when you're part of the majority. To people in groups who have felt underrepresented/misrepresented or disenfranchised their entire lives, those traits definitely matter and should be acknowledged.
