Sure the first few movies did well because its been so long since we had anything Star Wars, now were getting something new every year and the stories have not been that strong... They had a decent movie with Rogue One but both the Star Wars 7 & 8 have been rather weak story wise...
Both made good money but from SW7 to SW8 there was a drop of revenue of around $700k, that's a big drop off which tells me they've already lost viewers... I expect another drop from SW8 to SW9... I wouldn't be surprised if SW9 only brings in around $700k-$800k globally...

agreed, I enjoy disney's marvel movies (im assuming probably because they just let marvel studios do their thing for the most part, why fix what isnt broken) and the marvel movies appeal to old fans, new fans, and the average movie goers, perfect formula for success
but they are definitely going down the wrong path with star wars I think, they are oversaturating it already, trying to appeal to new fans, alienating and turning off old school fans, even when I was with my parents seeing Infinity War they saw the poster for solo and they were like "what another star wars movie?" and we usually see all the star wars movies together but they didnt seem too interested in Solo, and neither am I honestly
so yea disney is rocking the marvel stuff, but failing horridly with star wars, in my opinion at least, but at the end of the day all the income goes to them anyway, and once the fox deal finalizes they are going to be even more unstoppable than now
