You speak the truth....

At least with the Marvel Universe... I have a feeling their Star Wars franchise is going to get worse as we go along....

Sure the first few movies did well because its been so long since we had anything Star Wars, now were getting something new every year and the stories have not been that strong... They had a decent movie with Rogue One but both the Star Wars 7 & 8 have been rather weak story wise...

Both made good money but from SW7 to SW8 there was a drop of revenue of around $700k, that's a big drop off which tells me they've already lost viewers... I expect another drop from SW8 to SW9... I wouldn't be surprised if SW9 only brings in around $700k-$800k globally...

There was also a drop from Star Wars to Empire Strikes back.

Loved this trailer. Just the type of relief we need from the seriousness of IW

agreed, I enjoy disney's marvel movies (im assuming probably because they just let marvel studios do their thing for the most part, why fix what isnt broken) and the marvel movies appeal to old fans, new fans, and the average movie goers, perfect formula for success

but they are definitely going down the wrong path with star wars I think, they are oversaturating it already, trying to appeal to new fans, alienating and turning off old school fans, even when I was with my parents seeing Infinity War they saw the poster for solo and they were like "what another star wars movie?" and we usually see all the star wars movies together but they didnt seem too interested in Solo, and neither am I honestly

so yea disney is rocking the marvel stuff, but failing horridly with star wars, in my opinion at least, but at the end of the day all the income goes to them anyway, and once the fox deal finalizes they are going to be even more unstoppable than now

LOVE the new trailer. This one looks fun and it seems as if the size changes are even more plentiful this time. I'm hoping Hawkeye shows up in this as well and then both characters are in Avengers 4.

The change in scale rapidly creates some really fun action moments. My only concern is the villain will be an after thought. Least get to see the Wasp in full glory so someday will see classic six avengers on screen together.

True but in that case a lot of people didn't know what Star Wars was, so after seeing it they probably decided this type of sci-fi was not their thing causing the drop off for Empire....

Besides a $100k drop off is pretty small compared to a $700k one, even if you counted inflation your still looking at around $350k vs $700k... that's a lot of tickets not sold...

But it's all just speculation on my part...
