It's an AA-12 (automatic shotgun)...
That's exactly how that gun looks in real life. It's very plain, but is devastating.
Maybe they should have picked a different gun, if they wanted to go with more flare, but in reality, that gun is crazy awesome and it's something frank would use.

Yep the AA-12 looks spot on, its a nasty weapon that causes a lot of carnage which is perfect for a character like Frank castle.
An AA-12 was used in Predators as well.

I have seen this gun and they actually did good job in my opinion on it, yeah it doesn't have lots of flare but like people have posted that's how it is and looks!
But this gun is very frank castle and he looks damn good holding it!

I apologize if I offend anyone, but honestly, this is one of the most hideous products Sideshow has ever created. As an enduring Punisher aficionado, it is very disappointing (and disturbing) to see such an iconic brawler depicted as a transvestite.
