Did anyone else here about this? I only found out about it 2 days before it happened and managed to get a ticket. It was easily the smallest convention I've ever been to, there weren't any more than 300 people in the building at any given time, including artists and employees. The comic-con was setup to honor creators in the field of Asian-American decent, and they held it at the brand new Museum of Chinese in America that they're building down in Chinatown.
They had a couple really cool and interactive panels where the artists talked about stuff like how they develop a page from a script and the extent of collaborating with each other. I also got a few really nice sketches too. Unfortunately they had Cliff Chiang running around like a chicken with his head cut off all day, doing signings and panels, so I wasn't able to get an Emma commission from him. But he did manage to get a pretty sweet Zatanna done at the VERY end of the day. I also got too talk with Christina Strain for a while and see the progress on my
Pirate Molly that I'm waiting on (it's coming along nicely!). All in all it was a pretty cool show. I'll definitely go again next year if they do it.
