Shipping from US to Canada - what is your recommendation?

Hello,

I have someone interested in buying some of my statues, but he lives in Canada and I'm located in the US. I usually don't send high dollar items outside the US just because I'm not sure if I want to deal with the headache.

For example: I hear horror story about buyer paying for the items and then issue a claim back to Paypal.

1. Should I be afraid to ship outside the US?
2. What steps should I do to protect myself?
3. What shipping company should I use?
4. What can I do to protect myself from Paypal dispute as a seller?

Any information or suggestion is appreciated

Thanks in advance,

When I ship International, I only use services with a method of tracking and confirming delivery. So, only UPS, FedEx, or USPS Global Express.

Yeah, but only the ones I mentioned will confirm delivery. Unless there is another USPS method I don't know. If there is a paypal problem they need a confirmed delivery record. Once a first class or priority package leaves the US, whatever carrier is used doesn't have to scan USPS packages. That's where the buyer can lie and say they didn't receive the package and the seller is left in the open because they will only have proof of shipment.
