Maybe he got a great deal that will more than make up for the cost of shipping it.

Imagine how much stuff they have to move anyway by the time Fall gets here.

I don't think those 2 boxes are going to change much and Jerry wants to print now!

What I would love to know is how this improves productivity - as stated by Jerry.

I think they already had 3D printers but not totally sure.

Would love to know what this one can do vs. other printers - e.g. speed, size of printed pieces etc.

I'm just curious as to how it operates as part of the process, and what's special about this printer, what will it change in their day to day?

We have a couple Formlabs printers in-house that are good for small items with good detail.

For large items, like bodies and great details, we usually have outside companies do the printing. Problem is they can take up to 2-3 months to get it done and it blows all our scheduling. Plus they charge a lot.

As has been mentioned in other threads, we have greatly pulled back from digital and gone to more traditional wax and clay sculptures, but we still do some digital, particularly on stuff like MKX where the costumes are so intricate.

The Eden 260vs is a top of the line 3D printer with a large build area and detail up to 16 microns (which is basically perfect)

Oh wow, that's going to save an amazing amount of time.

How big can it print?

Could it print a full 1:4 scale statue? Or would you print in pieces like a kit and assemble?

Thanks for the answer Jerry!
