Best thing to temporarily cover a statue with?

Instead of boxing something up next time I'm away for an extended period of time, and won't be able to dust, I was wondering if just throwing a bag over it would fine.

Would a soft pillow case make a better covering, or would a clear plastic shipping bag be better?

Any opinions either way?

I use a plastic bag, cover and tuck the edges under the base.

Yes that's what I use, works great. Use real thin bags
