My question is within the Super Hero genre.
A hero is unselfish and willing to make sacrifices for the better of others. For example, someone like Superman or Spidey, who have morals, pure intentions and won't kill. They are motivated to overcome flaws and fears, and to reach a higher level. This higher level might be about self-improvement, a deeper spiritual connection, or trying to save humankind from extinction.
OR
Anti-Heroes, on the other hand, can be selfish, rebellious and kill if necessary. They also can be motivated by love or compassion at times, but usually they're propelled by self-interest or forced into action against their will.
