Funny how they announce this with a teaser image yet 2 years ago they announced Miles and they haven?t shown a single thing. I hate when statues companies do that.

Yeah, isn't that weird? I assume they put that on the super back burner now.

It's odd, since Miles is as popular as ever now (especially for a newer character). Sometimes I wonder how much these companies really have their finger on the pulse of things.

Geeze, what will this be, already their 3rd 1/4 Red/Blue Spidey in a span of like 5 years? The market is already oversaturated imo. LBS will do well due to their version being a bigger scale.

Something like that depending on how you look at it.

Seen way earlier but didn’t ship until 2018

Shipped 2019

PO went up not that long ago

Teased

So I’m guessing this will be Peter fighting off red goo tentacles? Or maybe he’s fighting Carnage drones on the base? Or just their arms (a la Mr. Sinister)

XM said inside the "Days of XM" they will do him, but don?t announced or showed a final concept picture like here. I have no doubt he is still in the plan.

Yeah, they just shouldn’t have announced it so prematurely with nothing to show. There've been a lot of statues since that announcement that have been fully shown or even shipped.

That’s why I don’t like product announcements. Announce with a teaser or the full thing. Sideshow used to do that a lot, too, but they’ve gotten a lot better. Mostly because they don’t communicate upcoming products nearly as much anymore.

The worst is when these companies hype you with a name and when you finally see the statue much later, you don’t like it. Although they showed silhouettes it seems that’s the case for a lot of XM’s DC statues (Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, etc). For me an example is Sideshow’s Doctor Doom maquette, I was looking forward to it but didn’t like it once it was finally revealed.
