I’d just send it out to third party customizer bond and fill extra piece to main base to make seam disappear for good. It’s an easy fix something XM should have done imo .

Yeah, I mean the seam is not what my eyes goes to when I look at her. My eyes go right to her amazing face, body sculpt and pose. But, when I force myself to look at the seam, I definitely get annoyed at the fact that, much like the Tweeterhead WW, it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

And like Built stated, it's not jealous people who don't own her. I was one of the very first people to receive her and post pictures, so there goes that theory

I still can't thank him enough for this. Storm is my favorite comic character and this is the Storm statue to end all Storm statues.

My Storm only had two minor hair breaks. One on each head but the breaks were small, clean and not very noticeable. I repaired them with a little glue but like I said you couldn't really tell anyway. The main issue I have is with chains, they don't match the same gold color of the rings that they are attached to and the rings match the paint color so well. It's just a little off putting but I will fit that this week.

She is beautiful and every aspect of her is stunning. My wife loves her and she doesn't care about any statue I get. Had a small break on the hair for the stern portrait, laughing portrait had no breaks. XM really crushed it with this sculpt!! Now I have to decide how I want to display her because the biggest suprise was how perfect the laughing portrait is. Her mouth is done perfectly, never seen teeth look so amazing on a statue.

Only have pics of the single setup so far. I'll have to change her around tomorrow to see what I like best. Neck seem looks good to me and her chains were easy enough to double wrap so they aren't hanging.

And yes, thank you Cali!!
Thanks guys!

Personally the seam doesnt bother me too much as when I look at the piece as a whole its not glaring to me.

That being said, I am not going to be an apologist for XM. I dont think the seam should have been front and center as it currently is as I know for some people it is a glaring issue. I think everyone including myself backed off because they may have mentioned it was being dealt with, so it is very unfortunate that it was ignored. As everyone knows I will press for issues that need to be resolved. I was one of the guys who spearheaded the Venom head issue...so I wouldve pressed for this but thought it wasnt going to be an issue.

Still love the piece, but i understand peoples frustration when spending this kind of money.

I think the majority of people making a big deal of the seam are the ones who missed out on her and are trying to justify it with themselves that it is, in fact, ok that they missed her.
Doesn’t mean it’s okay to lie to ppl about it being addressed. Some ppl put full payment upfront in confidence that XM will look after their customers.

100% this. Hence my concern about Dark Phoenix because I've now been burned by Storm.

And as for the poster who said "take it to have it filled"...problem is - what if I need to repack the statue to move or sell? I can't. It would break right off.

[IMG][/IMG]my storm arrived last week is my first statue xm and I love it is the storm I needed for my classic set of jim lee, but I'm not impressed by the price you pay.
It seems incredible that almost 10 or 15 years ago and we still do not have a beast, archangel, bishop and iceman in 1/4 scale.
sideshow started this line a long time ago and it never ended, and now this year they restart with the same characters, it is appreciated the change of the use of fibers in the statues (my coat of rogue started to crack).
xm studios is doing a great job keeping the line, but at import prices to america it is practically impossible to follow the step in the collection.
This is my ideal set no matter if they are the best uniforms designed by jim lee or any other artist, I have been missing the wait and the desire to continue the collection waiting to close both blue and gold teams.
my plan is to show them all together as a team so I try to unify them with the bases customs of the recurrent sentinela, it seems that it is the enemy par excellence
I'm sorry for my photos, I take them at night and very bad lighting.
(I miss iceman comiquette I did not find place in the display)

Great Pics Ssnopy76! Your setup is awesome. I am too on the hunt for a good beast, archangel and bishop myself. Also need to find a colossus I like to finish my blue and gold teams. Really impressed with all of your pathfinder bases, I love mine for rogue and gambit. Small footprints/bases are what make these great dioramas possible. Space is at a real premium and it is so cool how you can place all of yours together like that!

If XM makes the pieces you are looking for and SS does not (with their upcoming male X-men reveals) will you continue to buy the XM ones or just wait for SS or a custom one to be made in the future?

This is the question I keep asking myself because the pricing is so rough getting XM pieces. In my eye storm and cyclops are worth is, but the others need to absolutely blow me away for me to drop all that money on 2nd tier X-men.

the cyclops of xm is awesome, I questioned making the change for which I currently own, but in my mind I have renounced that idea, then the high cost of the storm, I definitely go for custom statues with arcangel and iceman both are in process and With designs that I really like, I hope to update my collection this year with these pieces, I saw a statue of beast and another of jubilo custom, but both very out of dimension in the bases.
I understand that ss has new options for psylocke, rogue in action pose, but I do not intend to make an expense for both pieces when the coat of rogue is again skin and end up deteriorating over time if not tilted before .
I will only buy a magnet to match it with the sentinel maquette as only enemies.

Looks great ssnoopy76!

Similar to my line up. Like you and Shaughn54 I want a complete early 90s Blue & Gold line up. I have this Storm and Sideshow PFs of Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Psylocke, Rogue, Jean and Colossus.

I also mentioned a while back it’s crazy sideshow never did Beast, Iceman, Archangel and Professor X back when they were doing these costumes. Bishop and Jubilee I can understand more. I’d prefer them from ss due to prices but ss’s costumes are hit and miss. I love the new Wolverine PF but to me it’s the Astonishing X-Men costume so I’m keeping my old PJs PF.

Also its a long shot, but I was thinking of displaying my SS Storm PF, XM Jean and Wolverine PF together with XM wheelchair PF for a 70s X-Men display. Somebody’s gotta make a classic costume Nightcrawler 1/4 at some point that I can put with them. Banshee, Classic Cyclops and Colossus are the unlikely ones to be made.
