I am one of those collectors who almost never switches out part. I find storing the extra parts in the original box the best option.

I keep most swap outs in the box too but there may be one or two pieces I may swap out that I have in a drawer with padding. I use tissue/ whatever material the pieces come with to pad it but don't see any need to pack it so tightly, I'm not going to be ripping the door open violently lol

I look at these cool cases which look great with the foam but just not worth the risk for me
