Agreed.
The Bowen piece has better proportions. The sculpt matters ...and apparently Bowen had better sculptors.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

This Thor looks stunted, for lack of a better term, proportions are just wrong. I agree with everyone here that Bowen really knew how to make museum poses look grand and stand out.
I was hoping for this to be my classic 1/6 Thor before I clicked this thread since it's impossible to get the Bowen in decent prices. But I guess the search continues.

I can’t agree with you about trying to get a Bowen statue now for a good price but it seems like the earlier statues he did which had large production runs of a few thousand or more you can still get for a decent price
I think the bad thing about trying to get a Bowen Thor Statue now with the movie coming out everybody is over inflating the prices of that character however in a year the prices will lower again

Man, I'm bummed!
I really wanted to add a classic 1/6 Thor to my ArtFX and Fine Arts collection. I've been waiting for this. It's finally here and I'm not liking what I see.
