The actual statues face looks pretty amazing and gorgeous to me.

Am I crazy or are none of these Mark Brooks designed pieces capturing the look of Brooks' art at all? Like not even a little bit. Maybe it's something that just doesn't translate well into sculpted form but so far all of them look absolutely nothing like Brooks' art to me in terms of the proportions and details. It's especially odd to me because we've seen other pieces from Prime 1 etc (hell, even the Batman B&W Line) that captures a specific artist's style perfectly.

Nah, you're spot on. I don't see even a hint of Mark Brooks.

That's actually a perfect example - the Mark Brooks Sideshow pieces (Spider-Man etc) actually DO look like Mark Brooks' artwork. By contrast, these XM pieces aren't even in the ballpark.

I think most of the concerns related to the expression were due to how it did not reflect the scene/pose of the piece, not necessarily the face itself. If her pose was more of a museum pose in which she was just standing there, I don't think it would have received so many negative comments.

That definitely makes sense. I do love her face sculpt that's one of the reasons I already pre-ordered and I am hoping now XM don't change it too drastically. I guess I like to think Wonder Woman still likes to pose and stay looking beautiful even under pressure.

Ironically, the Prime 1 Wonder Woman vs Hydra has the exact same issue. Her expression seems bored while fighting hydra, yet people seem to be in love with that statue. I didn’t get it because of the portrait.

The run edition is only 199 for the 1/6 and 1/4. I don't see them having any issues as is selling only that many.
