How many OG grey hulks does ssc have? Almost every auction there is another Grey hulk listed.

Im one of few collectors who own the OG grey hulk. One of my favorite statues ever made.

can the wining bidder use their purchase as a tax write off as these are sold for charity (like a donation)?

Those prices are insanity. And you're all surprised by the rising prices of regular pieces.

Hmm I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to use it as a tax break but maybe there’s some stipulation that says you cannot get anything in return (ie the statue). I’m definitely not the person to ask about that so maybe someone else can chime in.

You can, minus the value of the statue. However, deductions for charitable donations are also limited by % (you can't deduct 100% of your donations) and your income (the deduction is capped depending on how much you make).

I disliked it from the pics as I also never cared for the Ape-like Kirby face but that all changed once I had it in hand, still to this day the Green version is the best comic based statue of any character I've ever seen in person. It's just a phenomenal sculpt and it has tons of presence.

I will say the OG Hulks are very well done down to the paint and sculpt as well as how it was made with thicker casting (as compared to stuff done today) and hand sculpting. They commanded presence when I saw it at the LCB store many years ago. It just wasn’t something I wanted in my collection since I wasn’t a fan of the Kirby version. For those that love Kirby’s work, it’s still a fantastic piece though and still the best representation of his artwork to this day imo.

lol hey I know it's kidding, but I can guarantee you there is SOME KIND of thought going into their minds when they see these prices that they feel completely justified in the prices being currently what they are. And rightfully so.
