Would Hugo be MM even if he was MM? His outfit is form fitting and I imagine they would want to show off his physique. Maybe just his pants kinda like the SFV Ken statue?

Hugo discussion is all the rage in the Poison thread, so I thought I'd contribute to this thread instead.

So I like the SVC chaos reference that was posted in that thread, but yeah, Hugo looks waaay big next to Sagat!

But maybe it's not that far off? Here's a more recent comparison from USF4, the most recent appearance of both characters.

You'll notice that while Sagat's feet do not touch the bottom of the screen, Hugo's do. And Hugo's head goes well beyond the life bars regardless to his stance being even MORE open than Sagat's.

So clearly, to "look correct" in a display case he'll have to be considerably taller than Capcom's official listing of 7'10". Perception is everything on Hugo, oversize him!

I refer to the wiki all the time. It's the best we've got. But Jerry recently said that Capcom has their own official stats, that aren't necessarily in line with our info.
