As an aside, over the year I have found a new appreciation for the hobby. My daughter now really enjoys going around the room and naming all the statues. It's been a lot of fun. In time, she'll likely want to know more about these characters. When she's old enough, she can have a run at the comics and trades.

My youngest daughter, 8 years old, likes to watch the Spider-Man cartoons and Superhero Squad show. She gets excited when she tells me who was on each episode.

As my own side note, my wife gave her some old Archie comic books but after looking at them for a few minutes, she asked if there was anything else. I had some old, beaten up Superman and Avengers comics in the garage and she was excited to get those to read. And that is why she is getting everything I own in my will.

My 8 year old son likes Ben 10, Super Hero Squad, Batman Brave and the Bold, Justice League, TMNT and Teen Titans. I also buy him the Super Hero Squad and DC Super Friends comics, which we read together.

As far as I know he doesn't have a particular favourite character among them, but I might find out if I take him to the local con with me this weekend and give him his own little sketchbook.

I recently got Marvel checks and when I needed to write a check to my youngest' school for her lunch account, she made me use the Wolverine check. Over the Hulk.
