I don’t mind the costume redesign, I think it is a fun look. It’s just the cheapness of the look that bothers me. The silver is too aluminum foil, the stone looks like something I would get a michaels, and the shoulder paint....
Maybe pics will help me like this, but congrats if you already do

Not sure how you can say you dont dislike the costume design, yet you hate every aspect of it?
The more i look at this piece, the less and less i like it. (Sorry Sideshow.) The spots are bad. Chrome on orange? Yuck. The sleeves are unnecessary. It just looks like the art team was desperate to keep adding details, even if they made no sense. Cheetara had a natural, simple beauty, this piece doesnt reflect that.
Again, the portrait isnt that great. And the lightsabre staff? Ugh. There really is no aspect of this piece that I like.
It wouls have been better if they followed the art closer and used the muted tones. I know how the Liono fans feel now.

I can like the way the costume looks, just not the way it is executed. If you read my comments on the suit it addresses the execution of the silver paint, TC emblem, and her spots (which isn’t the suit...) So my critiques are not on the suit, but again, on the execution.

Same problems i have with this reveal pic. I liked the muted tones much more and really wanted this piece. Hopefully it's just a bad saturated first pic. So i tried to photoshop it a bit to what i expected.

WHY do people think that sideshow expects these things to sell out quickly??? lion-o just came out give it some more time and at least the ex sold out already and the fan loved the mumm-ra. I don't think that if this line was doing so bad that they were losing money that they would even bother making cheetara. Making something just because you revealed it makes little sense if you think it will lose money.
The TMNT and motu lines had problems beyond stylistic/artistic choices. The only major issue i see people bringing up about this thundercats line is artistic. Some people don't like the modernized look. They want Lion-o to wear a leotard in 2018.

I'm getting a young Jessica Lange vibe from the sculpt.

People should wait for in-hand photos on this one. I fear that the factory may decide to use decals for the spots. The factories have proven that they prefer to avoid airbrushes for detailed work. The decals on my Neytiri maquette for the stripes still annoys me.
I agree that the bright colors are a bit much. Using the original tease color pallet would have been preferable.

Huge pass, and I'm a big Thundercats fan. This will only appeal to people who would just buy any chick statue.

Yeah, I agree. I really like the concept art, but it didn't translate well into 3d

Shows as day 5 reveal on the SS website now. Guess is was early info. Still not sure why I am so drawn to this statue this early on as I can agree with all of the issues raised. I’ll chalk it up to 80’s nostalgia and not many Cheetara statues around.
