Question about refocusing collection

Hey guys, I was just wondering what your experiences have been on your collection ballooning to different licenses and art styles.

I just got a load of stuff in, and after setting everything up (and trying to make space for it) I started to question having certain pieces just because they clashed with the other pieces in the display. I like the pieces, but they are starting to stand out in case with the other pieces in my collection. I do not mind mixing licenses as long as the art and style of the pieces mesh well.

If/when this has happened to you guys, have you just decided to cut those out and sell/trade them or get separate display cases for those pieces and place that case away from the others so that it can be viewed in its own light?

Thanks for any of your experiences and/or input guys.

I used to have a huge incredible Hulk memorabilia collection, it took up the third floor of our house. If it had a Hulk on it, I bought it regardless. It got to the point that it was a bit too much and I decided to focus only on Hulk comic book artwork and action figures. The rest I sold off on ebay and bought more artwork. Never looked back. It felt kinda good to clean house too.
