That is ridiculous. Germany deserve that award far more than Portugal, whose offensive threat was virtually nil.

For me the highlight of the world cup was Italys defending and a couple of Argentina's goals. You could count the number of good games on one hand.
Spain v France
Brazil v France
Italy v Germany

In fact, Argentina packed more entertainment into one move than most teams (Portugal and, sadly, England included) managed in the whole tournament. The awards handed out after this tournament seem bizarre - a good thing the trophy actually went to a deserving winner.
