Damn! Tough break, bro! Figuratively and literally.
With the way XM package their stuff, I'd be surprised it broke during shipping.
Was the arm in its own foam pocket ...or already attached to the torso?
In any case, I'm sure XM will take care of you.

Sorry keewan, if it makes you feel better you aren't alone. Same break in the same place on mine. The rest is gorgeous

Of course it doesn't make me feel better I don't get pleasure out of other people's problem!
Yup the paint job is so nice, just a bumper, my 3 and half years old was really looking forward to "his" Mk42, now I have to put it away before he gets home

I hear ya. I thought it was a swap out arm when I first saw it laying next to the torso, but then the realization set in. I wonder why XM opted to make it part of the torso and not have it attach via magnet like they did the 2 right arms? May have avoided this issue altogether.

Its a lesson well learned for XM. I think its best to have arms on armor magnetized. No seams or very unnoticeable if done right...and less potential breakage.
Hope mine doesn't come like that.

Which arm is broken or cracked again?
I'm assuming left one based on the pics? But that one is by the side of body and doesn't look too exposed or protruding for such risks right?

I am guessing the hard foam under the arm is too high or just right, but the cover is not snuggle enough so he can move a little bit in the box. If I were XM I will trim down the hard foam under the arm, use soft foam there and have a thin foam between his body and top cover to prevent it from moving.
