Hi ajn9316,

Just wondering why was Long Vo's art chosen for this particular piece. What was the reason behind it?

Thanks..

On reviewing the picture more.. it looks like Ryu is about to do a Tatsumaki-SenpĆ» kyaku (Tornado Whirlwind Kick) .. looks like a build up to it.

Yea I think you're correct now that you mention it, if they can capture that in the scuplt it could be pretty cool and unique for sure ^^

Doesn't look like Tatsumaki to me. It just looks like blue ki going around him within a fighting stance.

This statue is going to be a risky venture, there is no doubt about it. Like I said before, it's really going to come down to how much it costs.

I really hope that, in the end, that the sculpt of this piece is not based off of that pic in the first post of this thread. a piece of this calibur/magnitude (especially when stressed that way by the company producing it) should have a more stately/daper/historic(in regards to the property) & museum like look, presence & quality to it.
The reference pic posted looks cheap & over the top.
If tansparent "effect" resin is used on this piece it will make it look like an over grown SOTA figure & that would be a big disapointment as PCS's Ryu (& Akuma as well) are showing thier age through sculpting weakneses that reflect being the first of the line which leaves the opportunity to best the works already available on the (open) market.

This isn't a new line but a one off ryu piece to celebrate 10th Anniversary

We certainly do. If Ryu generates enough interest, we might consider pursuing other characters. But for now, it'll be just him.
I guess the interest in Ryu and how well it sells will help determine if others will be done, but it doesn't sound like it's out of the question.

Obviously your not really Ryu, like your name suggests.

Why would Ryu, have random Ki / Chi build up around him??

So easy pass for me.
I dont like copycat.
I agree about the Ken. I bought it to complete the line, but I didn't really care for him at all. On the other hand, I loved Akuma, Blanka, Sagat, Cammy, and the SF4 Chun Li that SOTA did. Juri pics are looking pretty good too.
