1. Make it limited...300 or less please
2. Make the base separate from the statue itself
3. Make it heavy
4. Make his outfit with thick material

Count me in... And I'll be a new fan of Sota .

I'm so stoked someone finally had the wherewithal to create a 1/4 PF Street Fighter line. There is nothing currently out on the market like this and I personally can't wait until this void in my collection is filled. If all goes well you boys should move on to doing 1/4 DarkStalkers as well and maybe down the line, even Thundercats!!

Can't wait!!

Once you announce an edition size, as long as you honor it and don't re-announce it to "help the fans", you will get my money.

If these are done in action poses then I'll be all over them as it is the one thing that I don't like about the PCS statues - that they're street fighters but are just standing there.

the pose may be a bit "static", but i would love a statue based on the original SF2 character art... it's one of the first official illustrations of ryu and a true classic:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I feel like this is going to be a "clash of the titans" situation with Pop Culture Shock and SOTA. And the drama increases ten fold by the fact that Jerry used to own SOTA. Not to mention the fact that Jerry had plans to produce a super deluxe 1/3 scale version of Ryu next year with "no cost being spared".

Wow, this will be interesting. I'm actually a little stressed by this announcement.

I enjoyed the fact that I could get the best of both worlds from each company. SOTA had the awesome 1/6 Street Fighter statues and Pop Culture Shock had the awesome 1/4 Street Fighter statues. Now it's like, "pick and choose".

I already own both SOTA 1/6 Ryu's (one evil one regular) and one 1/4 PCS regular Ryu. Now we are going to have another 1/4 Ryu by SOTA and a 1/3 Ryu by PCS. Does anyone see this as a problem?

Why not make a 1/4 that hasn't been done yet?

Also, how "limited" is limited? Cost may end up being a huge factor in how the market receives this idea.
You’re right Andrew, had the same feeling as you!

Well, since I don’t have the space nor $$ for both lines I’ll buy the chars I don’t have yet to complete the 12 SF2-fighters from the company that brings them out first. Hope PCS will do the main characters first though. But I read that Balrog for example will take longer, so if SOTA releases him before PCS does, I'll take this one.

Now that the PCS line gets that popular, everyone seems to want a bit part of the cake...

But I hope the stated low ES will still be a low ES after pre-order is over lol

so.. aren't we all jumping to conclusions already? the statue is not even being sculpted yet and the concept art isn't exactly a winner if you ask me. I'm curious how jerry will respond to this. (if he does.)

I don’t know what to think of it. At first I was like, cool its my chance to get Akuma and Ryu. But then again I was like. Wait a minute. Jerry is doing this line so why on earth someone else is jumping in?.Competition? Sounds like the story of Apple and its Iphone. A lot of copy cats but no success.
I would think that Sota would come with a bolder move. Like a license to Mortal Kombat. Or to Soul Calibur. Guess not!
