NYCC Haul...Mcniven Grail

I didn't go to NYCC but Carlos (carlito1978) was a super awesome dude and snagged some art for me. I had set up pieces pre-con with Dave Johnson, Rafael Albuquerque, and Francesco Mattina (set up a while ago, Carlos's idea for NYCC pick-up), and he got me on 2 lists while there - Mahmud Asrar and Steve Mcniven.

I couldn't be happier with these pieces, these guys are 5 of my favorite artists with MATT and Mcniven sitting probably 1-2. I am still in shock that Carlos was able to snag this Mcniven piece from me... absolute grail level for sure

Carlos is an absolute Con superstar, he somehow managed to pick up 3 pieces for me, set up 2 others, snagged that killer Planet Hulk for Octavio, scored a bunch of pieces for himself and managed Jam contributions from some real heavy hitters.....all done in the chaos that is NYCC. Thanks sooooo much Dude, you are the Man!!!

Hope you guys/gals enjoy and as always, CAF comments are greatly appreciated!!

Sweet pieces. The Mattina stands out the most to me. The detail and feel of the piece is amazing. The McNiven piece is equally astounding in the fine detail he put into the linework. Great pieces all!

I'd be interested in hearing how you set up with Mattina - was this set up on line or at a previous show?

glad i could help man. your haul was simply epic.

the apocalypse piece is probably the nicest piece of original art that i've gotten to hold and is by far the best piece that i nabbed at the con and one of the best that i saw all weekend (if not the best). even my wife thought it was awesome - and thats saying alot!

the mcniven piece is superb. the picture does not do it justice and i'm lucky to have gotten a piece from him for you - he only did 3 all weekend with yours being the only non cover / non jam piece that he did. the details on it on stunning.

and to top it off with johnson, albaquerque, and asrar...wow.

all in all a great haul! will be shipping tomorrow.

Mattina was set up quite a while ago online with David Ceci (davidceci.fisio@gmail.com), It just worked out that we could get pick-up for NYCC. The guy is an absolute beast....Between Carlos' Batman, My Apocalypse, and the Spidey/Rhino he did at NYCC....pure Genius!!
