Baltimore Comic Con 9/7-9/8

hey guys. was looking at the lineup today and i have to say, if i was to ever do an east coast con, it would be this one. im sure the crowds wont too crazy and loads of opportunities to get lots of art. im waiting to hear from my con travel buddy, Vince, to see if hes gonna be able. kinda bummed out that its only a 2 day con, but, may have to make the most out of it. anyone else going?

oh, btw, quite possibly an opportunity to score a grail commission from my favorite, Ryan Ottley. as far as i know, his only con this year.

It's a GREAT show. I've been for the past 4 years, & if you go on a Sunday, it's never crowded & you still get to meet a lot of pros. I met Garth Ennis, John Romita Sr. & Jr., & Stan the Man Lee last year. The Geppi's Museum of Comic Book & Pop Culture is right around the corner from the show, & it's well worth a stop by. You're in the heart of Baltimore, w/ crabs galore near by too. This is a fun, big con.

Baltimore's awesome. The only way it could be better is if it got expanded to a 3 day con.

Leaving tomorrow at noon for this. 4th year running. Really sucks that Stan Lee cancelled (got him last year, tho)....but the real motherfu$$er is that Dave Gibbons cancelled. Almost didn't go....

Then they added Sal Buscema, Ed Mcguiness, Paul Jenkins (HUGE!), Mike Carey, Neal Adams and a few more......still pissed about Gibbons, but gonna be a great show regardless.

Anybody wants to meet up, shoot me a PM.

Getting some statue signed while there:

-SSC EX Spider-Woman by creator Sal Buscema
-BD Thor Action by Walt Simonson
-BD Taskmaster by creator George Perez
-SSC EX Carnage by creator Mark Bagley
-Koto "Killing Joke" Joker by Brian Bolland

Will hopefully have some sweet pics to post come Sunday night.

I've gotten a chance to interview Paul a couple times at conventions for my website and he is one of the nicest writers I have met. Really friendly and a great guy.

I spent my whole damn day last year waiting in line for sigs. (Stan Lee, The Romitas, Garth Ennis, Cho, etc...) that this year I have absolutely no agenda. Just gonna walk the floor w/ my kids & drop some cabbage on some stuff I really don't need. Quietly check out the cosplay hotties.
