The Last Of Us - Naughty Dog's new game

Naughty Dog has been one of my favorite developers since the Jak and Daxter series. Since then, it seems like every genre they touch turns to gold. Check out the reveal of gameplay footage from The Last Of Us:

Should be a well scripted movie with gameplay segments like the Uncharted series. I'll just watch a playthough on YouTube when it comes out.

I believe that is their goal, yes. It seem like they want to blur the line between the narrative of a movie and gameplay of a video game. I am fine with that since I love both film and video games. If someone wants more freedom in their video games, Naughty Dog is not the right developer for you.... not at the moment anyway.

Actually, the fact that some people are willing to watch someone else's play through is a testament to the kind of games they are developing. I may have to give that a try sometime.

The game looks pretty good to me, the developers stressed exploration but I guess we'll have to wait & see how things turn out.

Yeah, Im not a fan of their "games". I love film and games...I just dont like them mixed together. Im guessing the player wont have a single real choice or any real control in this whole game. It'll be a series of scripted scenes that the player Simon Says their way through. People love this type of thing, but its not for me. That's why I'll treat it like a movie and watch someone else play it. They put a lot of love into these and the quality is certainly there, but they're not a bit of fun to play IMO.

Looks awesome but just picked up Tomb Raider so i'll have to wait a bit before i pick it up

does anyone know what the plot is to this game? whats the objective here in this one? just to survive? or is there an ultimate goal that they are trying to achieve?
like finding hidden treasure or the promise land? or some sort of mystery that needs to be solved?
becasue this games looks really cool. and looks to be just as fun as uncharted series of games.
