Yes, to an extent.
I think the idea of a Limited Ex and an (initially) Open ES for the regular satisfies both parties for the most part.
But the ES on the reg should only be open for a period of time. It should close sometime during the statues production. Then number them before they ship.

Yes because it floods the market, and also I have learned that most exclusives nowadays are not that more extravagant than the regulars, which affects resale values because no one is gonna pay a lot of money for an ex when they can get regulars all day everyday for retail,or slightly above or less.Companies like PCS/SS say if ppl care about edition sizes they should stick with exclusives, thats a lame attempt to simply sell more total units, and by not knowing the total units come preorder day is a red flag in my books

No. These companies are not going to flood the market just because they decide not to put an ES on a statue. They want to make a profit and they don't want to stick themselves nor the retailers who sell their products with overstock. These are respectable companies that will only produce what they think they can sell over a reasonable amount of time.

We do set an ES on the regulars after they have been open for pre-orders for several months. I just dont update the website.

I think there should be a window of time and then close the ES on the reg.

That's perfect.
It gives those who don't care about ES a chance to get a statue and allows the collectors to go after the low ES exclusive.
