What primer before painting?
What the better kinds of primer?
Vince Vell told me to go with Krylon black primer but I can't find any so what should I try next?

What kinda material you painting? For resin, I particularly like Gunze Sangyo's Mr. Resin Primer Surfacer.

Ok so whats the difference between Duplicolor filler primer and Krylon? I know krylon is sandable, is Dup also sandable with running water?
im so used to krylon cause its what i grew up on at my fathers auto body shop and what he used to patch rust spots/holes on cars. I like how krylong stays a bit tacky after a sand down with running water and paint sticks fairly well to it.
So would be nice to get some info on why Duplicolor is better.
Thanks

Duplicolor sandable primer is good. Plastikote sandable primer is still my favorite though- I use it on original sculptures if that counts as a testimonial. Either way, the key point is that they are both automotive laquers and can be found easily in the automotive sections- although Plastikote seems to be hard to find outside of actual auto supply stores, while Duplicolor is a little easier to find in general.
