That said, the main reason given for the "high quality" PVC used on the Wolf is that it retains detail. That didn't turn out to be the case, but looking at Thanos, he has loads of detail. Wouldn't hurt to check with Alex in the ask Sideshow thread. Or just email Sideshow directly.

The pvc retaining details argument is BS rubbish! I don't own any XM or Prime 1, and they seem to be doing quite well using polystone. Besides, older SS polystone sculpts from the past are detailed plenty, of which I own a lot. No, this is just a case of integrity being bought and sold for the almighty dollar, a la Trump. What a f*cking mess.

For $1200 US it better not be plastic, not even the gauntlet where I can see it being done.

If the Thanos on Throne displayed at SDCC was an early production piece, as reported, it did not have a cheap, plastic look at all.

Exactly! And we were told that was a production piece ....so in-hand pieces better be as good as the piece we saw at the Con.

If SS had a production piece in hand as early as SDCC, then I hope that chances are good that he will ship early - hopefully in time for Christmas. Fingers crossed!

Forget this PVC nonsense. Why not just use cold cast porcelin if Poly doesn't work. I think that's what Tweeterhead uses and they get lots of fine details.

That happened with the predalien life size bust. It was almost 100lbs and arrived on a pallet.
I'd rather it not be that heavy.
