it depends on how you look at it.... if you break it up and the way the us dvd were made its 16
the Japanese actually had 9 or 10... i forget the actually number.... probably on wikipedia....
Shippuden is in its 6th season going into its 7th and in the US in english its somewhere in season 1.

Thanks!! after searching, I did pick all 16 and pre-ordered Shippuden season 1 Bx set.
7 seasons already! Cool, look forward to watching these!!

i was wondering the same thing.
Also, with the Itachi appearance, perhaps Itachi puts a spell onto Sasuke before he died to appear when Danzo is confronted by Sasuke.
