Different strokes. For me, a 2/10 whereas the first was maybe 6 or 7/10.

going into it this time, knowing what happens, I tried to keep an open mind and my expectations were low. Realistically it had some good moments, but this movie was more about tony stark than iron man. I will admit I did really enjoy seeing all the different armors at the end, but I still think its asinine that tony decided to destroy them all for Pepper, and why she would even want that in the first place. Also the track record for movies with child side kicks is not very good, and this one falls into that category lol

either way, im rating it higher now than I did the first time I saw it because I was prepared for the "twist" so I wasnt blind sided like I was during the first viewing

realistically though the absolute highest rating I can give this deception of a movie is

5.5/10

with that being said iron man has always been one of my least favorite original avengers, definitely my least favorite from the cap/thor/iron man trio, but that doesnt affect my movie ratings because I judge the movie on their merits not the character, i'd rate captain america first avenger a 5.5/10 if at the end red skull turned out to be the constrictor or some crap

I did enjoy when Tony said that war machine was a much better name than iron patriot, I agreed with him on that point at least

I literally hated this movie. To your point that it was about Tony Stark more than it was about Iron Man, that's why I call this movie Tony Stark 1. It wasn't really an Iron Man movie.

And, to your second point of enjoying all of the armors at the end, I loathed that part as well. Not because seeing all of the armors at the end in action wasn't a great idea, it was the pathetic nature of all the armors and how easily they were destroyed that grated, as well as the fact that the whole scene was at night, which meant that you could barely even make out most of the armors at all. I've always hated CGI scenes that are in the dark, or in shadow. I feel like I'm being cheated from most of the fine details of the images, and I've always wondered if doing CGI scenes in darkness or a "dark" setting is a cheat so they can save money on a CGI heavy film. In the case of a horror film it at least makes more sense to have some of it at night, but it made no sense to me in this debacle of a movie and was just another reason I hated this. The fake Mandarin was also as you say another reason to despise this film, and there were many more.

Tony Stark 1 Rating:

-5.5 of 10 for me.

Batman and Harley Quinn 5/10 - Started great and then went downhill real quick .
I had a feeling it would be garbage but not this bad.

This movie actually grew on me a bit when my wife literally forced me to give it a retry. The film is undermined by forced behind the scenes the decision to not make Maya the villain and push the Killian/Vice President story. This was done at Disney's direction in the interest of toy sales.

That said, Iron Man 3 had a pretty poetic and appropriate "ending" for the characters journey. The biggest disappointment is that it is completely ignored in the subsequent MCU films I remember going into AoU excited to see what forced Tony out of retirement only to find it was glossed over and brushed aside.... kinda like every deeper thread in the MCU it seems

to me the biggest issue was definitely the bait and switch with the mandarin, I remember being so dissapointed that he didnt get to fight the mandarin, then second biggest issue is the lack or iron man in the movie

anyway, carrying on my marvel marathon, with much better movies

Thor: Dark World (3D) 7.5/10
Cap: Winter Soldier (3D) 8.5/10

Dunkirk (in IMAX): 9.5 /10. Pretty much a perfect movie.

That would make it a 10/10

See this just proves the point that this film stunk. Even Marvel/Disney pretended it never happened in the next movie. Perhaps it was a dream/nightmare sequence and never really did happen...
