The dog could have had rabies, it could have attacked someone. There's no story with that video so how can you just assume they killed the dog for the hell of it?

Dog's tail was wagging right before he died.. rest in peace, bud. 
Dogs aren't evil, no animal is "evil", so.. yeah.. this was a sad event to watch, no matter what the circumstances behind the shooting might be.

It always sucks to have to shoot a dog. No one likes doing it.
Having said that, as already stated, what's the rest of the story? Did the dog just bite a child? What led to the video?
I worked a German Shep for 5 years. He was awesome, gentle until it was time to not be gentle...but when he was on a bite, his tail was wagging non stop. Tail wagging has many meanings.
Don't jump to conclusions, and make no mistake.....media, in whatever form, is entertainment.

A wagging tail has many meanings, agreed.. but.. still... the dog was seemingly at rest.
"Seemingly".
Of course, the omission of sound could mean any number of things.. we have no idea what the dog's state was, or the conversation was between the "officers".
