Who is your scariest villain?
Ok, I'm curious to know who you guys consider to be the Scariest super-villain...
He or she doesn't have to be the most powerful, but must simply give you the "Oh no, not him!!!" vibe...
I mean, sure guys like Thanos and Doom are scary, but because they sometimes show their more "noble" side, it sometimes takes away the scary part...To me, someone like the Joker or Sabretooth are scarier than some of the All-Powerfull baddies...
To me, Marvel's scariest villain would be the Magus...
He's so unpredictable, so powerful (although HOW powerful is always a mystery, which makes him even more scary), and so completely evil, that anytime he pop's up, I go "Uh-oh"...
For DC, I think it would be Superboy/man Prime...Simply the idea of an egotistical Superboy who isn't bothered by this universe's Kryptonite?! Time to change your shorts!...

I don't know much DC outside of Batman mythology so for Marvel mine is Proteus because there seems to be no reasoning with him and he is crazy powerful.

Red Skull, easy - because his ideologies exist today, just as they did 70 years ago.

I think Carnage would be visually unsettling for most people to deal with. An alien, living costume that changes it shape constantly and all those big, sharp teeth. On top of that the human host is a homicidal killer with no regard for human life or decency...

Yeah, nobody tops the skull bro. Hes not gonna whip out an infinity gauntlet, he's not gonna let loose giant robots to attack the city....he's gonna do stuff like topple the US economy, infiltrate the state department and make countries go to war, he's gonna get his guy elected president, he's gonna become the secretary of defense, he's gonna gas a small town of 4000 people in the name of terror, he'll try to blow up the statue of liberty...all while wearing a swastika. What a sick ---- is the red skull. No one scarier bro, cause doesn't all that stuff seem actually possible?

I take it you read "Red Zone", Eric?
A fantastic read; T'Challa and Steve were on POINT. Scary implications, though.

The scariest villains to me have always been the ones who can bite right into you where you stand, e.g. Alien, Jaws, Zombies. Or, the ones who can suck your life energy just by touching you, e.g. The Wraith in SGA.
In addition to many charcaters already mentioned in this thread, I would add Morlun (Spidey villain). This dude creeped me out. When I was a kid, ManBat was pretty scary.
