Advice on painting resin in a line art/illustration style

Hello there. Does any painter have any feedback on the possibility and end result effect of painting a piece exactly in a manga/anime illustration form (solid black lines, shadow/highlights and tonality exactly matching an illustrated manga poster). This would include a defined light/shadow position incorporated into the piece itself, with white bubble specs for point source highlights and complimentary darker tones for shadows. This is very unconventional - but I would like to know how feasible this is to realize (if it can be) in a sculpted piece.
Thanks for any input.
Example art attached.

Cheers.
